I have a pretty decent looking stock '83 short bed SR5 4WD for sale. Original paint, SR5 stripes, a little seam rust, and all stock aside from the 4Runner turbine wheels. I am the second owner of this truck - bought from the original driver, I still have a copy of the original title. Truck was purchased at Atlanta Toyota and lived the last few years of it's life under a car port. It's a really nice running and riding truck - recent put in a low milage 22R from a 1980 Celica, new exhaust, brakes, etc. etc. I've wasted too much money on this truck but I'm consolidating the fleet and would like to see go to a good home. I debated repainting it but I ended up clear POR-15 over the rust spots on the seam so the next owner would know what they're getting. The dash has a crack and the drivers seat has a tear (currently has seat covers). Original carpet but missing the kick panel carpet. Truck has 175k on the chassis and the Celica had 170k when pulled. Engine is equipped with AC - has the compressor but line was cut from the original engine. Tires are about 70-80%. Rancho shocks. The bed was Line-Xed. No frame rust. The front drivers fender has a nasty scar from the original owner, but I have a lead on the fender - just need to pick it up. I'm missing the owners manual, but have receipts on the work I've done. Overall, it's a pretty good 1st gen truck that's not been bastardized.

I'm asking $6,500 for it.

Six miles outside of Atlanta.

Dude I have always wanted one of these little rigs for DD duties/tooling around. my 80 is thirsty! GLWS, man!

cheers,
Joel

As pretty much anyone that's had one will tell you; they're a blast to tool around in. It's no wonder Toyota sold 900 billion of them. I'd keep it, but selling this and my Troopy for a 4door tacoma.

Child seats be damned!

Good looking 83!! GLWS

Yeah, I still have it. I put some white steelies on it and it looks much better stock. I couldn't find the white wagon wheels (like the FJ60 style) so I opted for the old steel wheels. I'll get some pictures up.

I have it. Potentially pending sale if I sell my HJ45. These are great trucks that are a blast to drive.
