craigslist 1982 Toyota Landcruiser BJ42 Diesel

Not mine but looking for anyone that has info on her or cares to give input. Im in the market for 1978-1984 BJ42. Not looking for pristine as I want something to go hunting and fishing and 4wheeling in that is reliable and doesnt need ton of everyday work.

This price high but its typical of todays market. Looks like it was repainted which is bit of concern as she maybe a lipstick queen and probably covering up a lot. Probably to nice for me. Thanks guys.

There are a number of Cruiser clubs in California ( MUD - Clubhouses ) and perhaps one in the San Diego area can help you.

Not a bad looking unit. Would be nice to know the miles, and see some under body pics. The underhood overspray is a little discerning. Deserves a closer look

Finding a LHD BJ40/42 that has not been painted yet will be close to a miracle,the ones from Europe where rusting when they where less then a few years old,and the ones from Latin America where used and abused on farms,the Canadian ones.....well .....even worse then the European ones

If you are looking for a non painted rustfree one you might be better of buying a FJ40 in Tx/Ca/Az or another rust free state and swap a diesel in it

That price is not bad I think since the BJ42 with 3b whereonly sold for 3 years
