This vehicle had a build thread on here before we got it. Up for sale is our 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60. The truck has an engine from a 2005 Chevy Avalanche (approx. 50,000 miles) and transmission is from the same vehicle. This vehicle has been extensively gone through to make sure things are and were done right. This started with the transmission being completely rebuilt as it didn't have the aux cooler when the install was first done. The transmission now has around 2,000 miles on it since the complete rebuild. There is also an aux trans cooler installed on the front of the vehicle. The suspension has been done and it now rids on a spring over axle setup, and it rides nice with a great stance. the transfer case has been converted to the twin stick style. We had the entire wiring harness removed from the 82, and had a 86 harness installed with the upgraded fuse panel and also to support the accessories like rear window from the 85 donor vehicle and entire interior. The interior from the 82 was the brown style and that was completely removed, including dash, and replaced with the blue 85 interior, dash, seats and door skins. Also swapped over the rear window with heated glass. The truck also has brand new 33 inch tires (it could fit 35's but its my wife's truck so we didn't go so big) General Grabber at2's. It is a great tire with that can be studded, however does great without studs on snow. We also installed an ARB front safari bumper, with turn signals integrated, that is brand new. The fj60 also has air conditioning aftermarket installed by the shop that did the wiring and lizard skin, and it works great. Interior has been professionally cleaned and the seats look brand new(they weren't bad, just needed TLC). As far as the engine goes, we had everything checked by a shop in Memphis, same one that did the wiring harness, and then had it tuned at Dynospeed, by Josh and his guys and they did a great job. The interior was also sprayed with lizard skin, which is a 3 part coating system that reduces heat and sound (which it does so well), and then I laid down an acoustic matting (like dynomat) on the floor and the ceiling (to reduce the vibration of the flat roof section) and also the doors as well. the vehicle drives great, and runs exceptionally well... so why are we selling. It was my wife's truck and she now wanted a newer car, and I already have a military styled dodge truck, so we don't need another truck. I am sure I have missed something but email me back for more info and I will get pictures up here soon. I am looking to get 13,000 out of this vehicle, and that price is firm as I have more than that in it to get it to this point. thanks Dan 920-784-8596.
