I have this truck on consignment and I'm was looking for a fellow Cruiser enthusiast in Santa Fe, NM to go take a look at it. Thanks to Josh for calling me. He know the owner and the truck and was able to get me the info I needed. I also got some additional photos from the owner.
It's been owned for the last 20 years by a retired commercial Airline Pilot. The truck is rust free and the owner is reported to be a very meticulous individual who has owned several classic cars over the years.
The truck has got the modifications one would expect from the late 80's / early 90's era. Saginaw PS, Confer bumper in the rear, Overhead storage tray, Confer Aux fuel tank, Holley Carb, etc. It will never be a totally original FJ40 but it's a very nice rust free 81 with 3:73 gears and the split transfer case mated to 5-speed so a great driving rust free FJ40.

Add to aux fuel tank ( 20 gals. ) with elect switching between aux and factory tank, Overhead storage tray with C/B radio and aircraft map light, Paint is a Mercedes green/gray color. Seats were modified tilt to give more under leg support, Metal ammo cans behind seats for storage. New tires and rims, less than 1000 miles on tires. includes 4 speed tranny with the sale. Steering wheel wrapped for better gripping. Speakers in doors and two in back. All fuel hoses replaced with new ones.
