1981 Toyota Land Cruiser NO rust! Power Steering. Rare 1981 model

anyone know anything about this seller on ebay (goldendays91). they claim to be a husband and wife importing cruisers from Costa Rica and they have several on ebay right now. Rigs look nice in pics but its always good to treat these things with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen any of their imports in person or has any experience with this seller.

I can't speak to the importers you're asking about, but i bought a sight unseen hj45 from honduras about 10 years back, and I really should have taken more time in my due diligence. It was fairly worked over mechanically and had old shoddy body repairs that were hard to spot in pics. My advice would be to just go in with a very keen eye and be careful! Disclaimer: the importers your asking about could be totally legit, this is just my experience with a prior purchase. Personally, i wouldn't go that route again- but thats just me

I am calling BS on the year/dash. Sure, maybe its possible but only seen the late dash on 83+ or the high spec LX type 81+. Not on a basic poverty pack 40 in South America

That is an actual Latin American Lx version,I have seen one before in Panama a few years ago.Those seats are OEM so it could have the new dash and be legit.

I am always scared when the seller does not give you the option to zoom in on the pictures to see the details but it looks like a quick flip job to me.

PS the other LX that I have seen had a 2H in it so we might want to see the vin number to see how correct everything is.
