Truck is coming to Casa de Beno on Saturday.

Not the first time I've stored vehicles for months at a time *cough* "Clownmidget"

:)

How long does it take to put in one axle?!

Hopefully, the truck will only need to be at Case de Beno for a short time. I'm looking into some other storage options that will let "Tanner" stay indoors. :grinpimp:

Ugh. The expenses on the rental house keep stacking up. That coupled with paying the mortgage and not receiving any rent money is making me put the mini on hold. I probably won't order the axle until next month... :bang:

Truck has arrived at Toyota day camp.

It`s ok Sam, no need to look so sad, I am sure you will get regular visitation.

Ha ha. I was getting the hi lift out. The truck is only about 5 min from work. I can go visit anytime I want. :D

Like a real bath with soap or just the 3 inches of rain from yesterday?

There may have been soap...

Nice, I need to sign the cruiser up for Toyota Day camp. Is there a waiting list or do you have to know somebody to get in :D

Just a quick update. I'm going to order my correct dirty thirty axle next week. Probably on the 20th(?) I'm going to hit up Onur's house and get the axle buttoned up.

List:
Finish axle
Install speakers
Get spare tire aired up
... probably will think of more.

Almost exactly 1 month til the ride! :steer:

Must be nice to have such a short list for a change. I gotta get the squirt finished and do a little work on the 80 before then. I am looking forward to getting back in the dirt!

My list of things that I want to do is much longer but not necessary for the ride. At some point before next summer I want to have tube doors and upgraded brakes. At some point (whenever I get around to it) I want to find a tool box that will fit so I can have on board air and somewhere to keep my junk. I also plan to move the cooler mount in the bed and add a spare tire mount. I need to probably think about getting 2 more tires since my front ones are pretty worn out. Basically, it never ends.

Also, I'm picking up the trailer this month so I'll probably be using my "extra" funds for the repairs on it. AND, I'm saving my pennies for the ACC ride. Driving that far in the Tundra at 9-10 mpg ain't cheap. :hillbilly:

Cheaper than renting a U-haul though I bet!

(see ya in two weeks with your early Christmas present) :santa:

No doubt! I think I spent ~$300 on the Uhaul PLUS gas last time!

Got the axle ordered today. I bypassed Low Range and just called TG direct. Low Range was going to have to refer it to TG anyway since they didn't stock it. There was about a $5 price difference but he cut me a break on shipping so it came out in the wash. ETA 4-5 business days.

Good call. Anything that drop ships you are better going to the source. Those springs I ordered for the sami drop shipped from a vendor out of Washington, I got the bushings but no springs, called and was like WTF, the guy said uh lemmie call our vendor... and then comes back with oh yeah they shipped out a week ago but we didn't get any tracking info, just call back if you don't have them in a couple days.... WTF really!! Just bad business practice if you don't know where your stuff is and where it is going.

Rant off... so looks like you will be getting a day pass for visitation at Toyota day camp soon.

Well.... the only weekend (Sunday really, I'm working every Saturday now) that I have free between now and the first weekend of November is the 20th. That happens to be the day I'm going to get the trailer from somewhere in the Atlanta area. So, it will either be a late night weekday wrench session or maybe a Saturday after work. Onur volunteered to put it in if he gets to it before I do, which is pretty likely. I'll just buy him some 's for his troubles. Loading up the truck and getting the spare tire ready will be a last minute affair.
