1st year for the Hilux 4 wheel drive. SWB, 20R motor and 5 speed manual transmission, both professionally rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. New front drive shaft also 20,000 miles ago. This is a factory original 1st year 4 wheel drive Hilux that also came with a factory CB radio, power steering, AM FM radio, carpet, sliding rear window. This is the only year with the one piece side windows without wing glass; doors shown are from a 1980 2 wheel drive that can be included in the sale with this one and that 1980 truck body is in even better original condition than this 1979. The original 1979 doors will be installed if buyer doesn't want both pick ups. This 1979 came from factory with a 4 speed manual transmission, bench seat and no A/C; the installed 5 speed, bucket seats and A/C are from a factory equipped 1981 Hilux, so all items were bolt-ins and the original 4 speed and bench seat can be included in the sale. This Hilux has very little rust--extremely hard to find in this un-restored condition. It runs and drives great, turning heads everywhere it goes. Steel wheels and hubcaps are original and has original spare under bed. It has an aftermarket dash cap, hood, and Weber carburetor. $6500.00.
