1979 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... - https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/d/mequon-1979-toyota-fj40-landcruiser/7493173170.html
I’m way behind on too many projects so my FJ40 needs a new home. It was a Colorado and Texas truck before I brought it to Wisconsin from Durango, CO and it’s never been driven in Wisconsin winters or snow. Over the last 8 years I’ve replaced and upgraded things as time allowed. I had visions of overlanding with the FJ, but it’s been used mostly for runs to the farmers market, food truck festivals and driving the dog around town. 4 speed transmission, Warn locking front hubs, side jump seats in the back.....
It’s a ton of fun. It deserves to be driven and enjoyed instead of just sitting in my barn.
The larger work I’ve done on the FJ:
Rebuilt front knuckles
Rebuilt transmission
Rebuilt transfer case by Mark Algazy (Mark’s Offroad)
New fuel tank & sending unit
Powdercoated rims with 5 new Hankok AT tires
LED headlights
New body gaskets
New seatbelts, headliner,
Telescoping mirrors and Cool Cruiser tailgate for use without the hard top
