Restored the radiator and windshield reservoirs.

I used a Scotch Brite scuff pad and Bleach White tire cleaner!!
Wow!! Love that stuff!!

I also had to fix the broken plastic tube at the washer pump. I used JB welds plastic epoxy. Seems like I should get good service out of it.

53 Mercury Flathead with 3 dueces.

Sorry to hijack my on thread

kids college fund hey.....

im sure they will be ok haha

Looks awesome!

That's not hijacking. I did the same several times. It's all about being a car guy here.

Hey everyone, I'll admit it. His "hijack" is my fault. The car is my fault. The kind of car is my fault...

DAMN PROUD TOO!

Yes admittedly, I have always been a car guy, but I have always seemed to be drawn to 4 wheel drive trucks. Maybe the go any where, do anything off road was my adventure. To go where no has gone before... to get away from the road "heavily" traveled.

And yes I am a muscle car guy too. I love horsepower and the plant your ass in the seat torque!!

But then, @Rainman introduced me to HOTRODS!! I never knew I was a hotrod guy!! Old school, classic lines, classic looks, REAL MACHINES!! It is the prefect ride for the road "heavily" traveled!!

Because there are rubber gaskets under certain parts of the body, ie hood hinges and tire carrier hinges.

I decided it was prudent to go head and make them for every place on truck that had something bolted to it.

I got gasket material call Nitrile Nylon Diaphragm. It has a nylon reinforced weave. This stuff is TUFF!!

I laid out all my hinges and brackets for patterns. And used razors and gasket punches to cut everything out!

Because I have twisted soo many bolts off taking this truck apart... I'm using plenty of anti seize to put it back together.
It may be a little messy, but the bolts go in much more smoothly.

And I also am using this electrical joint compound for all my connectors.
