Installed the fiberglass top
I asked the painter to fix the gouges I made while removing the headliner.

He went ahead and added a whole layer of mat and resin.

I also got it Raptor lined..

Its alot better now than what it was.

Do not bolt these two pieces together.

Install your fiberglass top first.

I made the mistake...

I had to take them apart to access the holes to bolt the fiberglass top to.

This was nicely painted and straight.

Lots of tape and leather gloves to try and protect paint.

This is why it had to come apart. For these 4 bolts!!

Sorry, but I don’t understand these things, but they must look cool to someone else. Your FJ40 is 100x more desirable, just right color too.

Thank you! Yes the 40 is the iconic 4 wheel drive and the color is quite beautiful.

I understand everyone has their own taste in things....

Not only do I like Landcruisers an Hotrods, I also LOVE WWII fighters and bombers... Corsair, P-51 Mustang, P-40 Flying Tigers, Wildcat, Hellcats, Dauntless Diver Bomber, B-24, B-25, B-29... Just to name a few!!

But when it comes to jets... I don't care one nickel for them.

I’m not sure where the A-10 Warthog fits in, but I love it.

I didn't get any pictures of installing the parts on the other ambulance door and no pictures of installing new OEM weatherstripping..

But I did manage to take this picture

Vintage 74 tire carrier to carry my gas can!
I will build a rack to carry it in, then mount it.
I drilled and installed grease zirks.

The biggest things I have left to do are driver/passenger door and all the glass.

After all of that is installed.

1.Front bumper with winch
2. Rear bumperettes
3. Snorkle
4. Install barn doors and check them to make sure they will work properly.
5. Hook up ARB air lockers and tank.
6. Oh yeah, get it registered and tags

I had a pleasant surprise today, @Rainman came by the garage today! We spent about 4 hours learning how to install glass in my truck!!

Well we are both beat, arms and shoulders worn out!! But we did it!! Most definitely a two man job!!

I used paracord to rope in my glass mainly because I had it on hand, it had a small diameter and it needed to be tough. I soaked it with super clean, so it would be slippery as we pulled it around the weatherstripping.

We started our learning on the easier side pieces...

Use lots of windex or super clean... keep it wet. It makes all the difference in the world!!

We then started on the ambulance doors

I did the same thing with my windows, 550 cord and a ton of windex!


Although some people say it’s for winos under the bridge.

The windshield was probably the easiest!! Being that we are experts now!!
