A nice RHD cruiser that is fun to drive and gets plenty of attention. I am restoring my 82 Fj40 and need more $$$ , so the BJ is for sale. All import paperwork completed, Vin #'s verified and a Idaho title is in my name.
Bj40 includes:
13B-T diesel turbo engine, runs great
12 volt
RHD
4" lift with grease zirk shackles
full float rear end
33" tires
Needs rust repair in places and paint is poor.

Wasn't this for sale just a few weeks ago? I saw it on Craigslist for I considered buying it myself. Why are you selling it?

Not wanting to sell it, but I am 2 years into my 82 Fj40 restoration and it is in need of some expensive upgrades. The BJ40 with the 13B-T is just awesome and I would love to make and use bio diesel, but I need to finish the other.

Lot's of questions. Can it be driven cross country? I would say "yes" runs great and brakes work well and if your comfortable doing 65 mph on mud terrain tires go for it. Did I do the 13B-T conversion? "no" I bought it completed and it had a 3B in it originally. I have looked engine over top to bottom and it is with out leaks , mounts look good and it is generally very clean.
I am open to offers and not thin skinned, so shoot me anything.
Thanks

Typical rust in body (see pictures) ): rear seal, corners, floors ,bottom doors and fenders. The top has some bondo cracks on sides due to poor body work. I believe it had a 3rd rate body and paint job in Australia when it was imported to New Zealand. Has only had some sort of rust preventative coated on surface rust, while here in the states.
The body is not that bad and the frame is in really good shape. Might make a great winter project for someone who can turn wrenches and weld.
Please call for detailed info. Thanks, Ben
