Anyone care to weigh in on this one? It clearly needs some love, but the bones look to be in good shape. Are the missing emblems at the rear a sign of major body work or is that just because the entire tub is a replacement?

Looks like a mess to me but my goal is always "return to stock". Depends on what you want to do with it.

I hear ya. I'm torn as to what I want to do. While the idea of owning a fully restored 40 is great, I really want in to the club sooner rather than later and a slightly rusty cheap truck would do the trick.

By the way, what do your 40s at myfj40 run price wise?
