Well, burned up the PERTONIX - not spending another $100 - so the old distributor and coil and ignitor going back in the 2F...
of course I took poor notes and few images to relocate these wires.. but hey at least i did not destroy them.

It has original distributor and coil and PINK resistor wire has been removed from HARNESS...

So, while the DISSY is pretty straightforwar see the image for the COIL and IGNITOR.
Wires #4 and the bare wire are grounds....as is the GREEN ONE

But where do #1, 2 , 3 go ... previous posts can be a bit murky.

(wire #1 is an unknown color - but sure looks stock)

Thanks for your input.

Those edits are key

Might anyone have any further details about how to wire this ignitor to the coil and starter. The diagram is helpful but not entirely clear as the starter is wired to the ignition key and works great

any more guidance is helpful

In the first pic, #3 & #4 are signal wires from dissy to ignitor. Neither one is a ground. There is a grounded shield around the pair of wires to prevent them from picking up noise from the plug wires.

#1 is 12V ign power to the ignitor
#2 connects to - terminal of coil.
