I did an engine swap and have this weird metallic noise what seems to be coming from the driver side of the engine. No blow back. No abnormal smoke. Good power out of the engine. It seems to go away at 2500 RPM. Thoughts?

Thanks in Advance,

Steven

If it is valve lash (don't think so) , it should change with engine temp--not rpm. This sounds like a loose something (mounting bracket outside the engine)--esp if it is rpm sensitive--if you have a stethoscope, should be able to pinpoint with it--

I agree with saggoat, it sounds like somethings loose. Take the belt off so the accessories aren't spinning. It sounds tinny.

I recently got one of these stethoscopes and it seems like a reasonable device to have on hand for assistance diagnosing and pinpointing the location of engine issues.

Interesting! My 2F has some noises as well, but they are different...
