1978 FJ40 Landcruiser

I’ve owned this truck since Oct 2012 . I purchased it in the Norcal area from a guy who had owned it for 18 years and spent a ton of time and money making this truck ready for anything.

Unfortunately I’m moving again and just can’t keep shipping it. I don’t have the time to tinker on it or wheel it at the moment and so she has got to go…

List of work done to this vehicle is LONG:

NV4500 transmission/centerforce clutch(5 speed)
Saginaw Power steering
Shackle reversal
Disc brakes all the way around
Disc parking brake
Ubolt flip
Painless wiring harness
Heavy duty drive shafts
Longfields
Aux fuel tank
ARB Air Lockers front and rear
ARB Air Compressor
Champion Winch 8000
Metal Tech Sliders
Metal Tech Noseguard
Metal Tech Tube doors
BFG KM2s 33x10.50s
Chains for all tires
Round Eyes headlamps (installed last month)
New Toyota radiator (installed this weekend)

Extra parts:

New rear rotors and pads (hope to install this week, will knock $200 off if you purchase before I can get pads/rotors swapped out)
Rear body sill (was looking to have someone install and then Linex interior)
Battery tray
Birfields
2 x spare tires
Brand new extra bulbs for round eyes

I’m not forced to sell the truck, but I find myself not using it and can’t really justify keeping it much longer. The body needs work, but it is not horrible.

Asking $9,700

Cheers

Butch

Butch,

I really like what I see thus far, and look forward to more pics. I would have PM'ed you, but honestly can't figure out how to do so on this newer format?

Would you be willing to ship or deliver to Charleston, SC for your asking price? Please PM me if you can figure it out, or email me: tacticalelvis@hotmail.com

Have a good one.

Curious about license plate bracket / jerry can holder. Is that home made? Haven't seen one of those before. GLWS

South Dakota is one of the cheapest states in the US to register a vehicle. As a result, it's not unusual to see South Dakota liscence plates all over. In fact I was in Cobo San Lucas last winter and saw many liscence plates from SD.
Just my observation as a South Dakotan
