Is it just the muffler you need or a whole section of pipe with it?
The diesel is a lot less picky when it comes to muffler design - basically anything about the right dimensions from another diesel will do the job.
You can buy stainless generic mufflers which will just clamp onto your existing pipework... if its still there.

Went with an Aero Turbine. The XL is just too long. These are really nice mufflers and flow very well.
I even get a bit of turbo whine out the back end. Very nice quality.
Went on my BJ74 13BT. Friends went on his 12HT 60. I will be installing on my own 12HT 60
next year. Just read enough about flow restrictions on the Flowmaster I have, quite disappointing.

Yes, my son made new pipework to spec all the way out as he restores old cruisers on the side but the old factory muffler is swiss cheese and a rusty mess and we can’t find a suitable diesel muffler replacement yet…..we will check out the Aero Turbine mufflers! Thank you for the suggestion!

Also, this is a Canadian spec 24 volt left hand drive 78 BJ40 “B” diesel. The 2nd owner lived in Missoula MT and bought it from a Canadian and titled in U.S.
