NO AFFILIATION WITH DEALER.

A friend spotted this 1977 FJ55 for sale at 84th and L in Omaha today. I had to rush out and look at it before the snow storm.

I have never had the opportunity to look at one of these before. Man, what a beast the Iron Pig is.

It’s definitely got some issues with Bondo and rust but I would have to guess its in far better condition than most.

I got the key and was going to start it but I had no idea which knob was the choke and didn’t want to crank the engine in sub-zero conditions and waste the battery. The dealer was closing up and it was getting dark so I had to hurry up and get some pics to share.

If you are interested I would defintely have it checked out at a body shop in addition to the items that are known to FJ55 enthusiasts.

I talked with the owner previously, I dont know if he owns it still or not.

anyways was way off on pricing started at like $13k or such was down to like
9k last i seen, was trying for well over a yr to move it. Didnt look at it in
person but sounds/looks decent, plus always can be talked down on price :)

not familar with the dealer.

btw several around town, havent see this one, but all camo one (been few yrs) and red and white (last known somewhere in glenwood) but ran around town by member here i know, dont remember his name on here.

I thought $6k was a lot. Dealer said he is selling it for his pastor/friend.

saw it today as well.

i think it was posted on here a while back.

i grabbed the keys, went out, and it fired right up today.

6k seemed steep. cool truck tho. i'd try to get it between 4 and 5k.

Wasn't this same truck for sale from a dealership 6-8 weeks ago?

yeah, pretty sure it is. the pic of the truck in the other thread shows the same rig.

Yeah, I called the dealership about it and they said, "We sold it about 6 hours ago."

Something bad must have gone wrong.

Be very suspicious about this deal...
