Looking to possibly trade my two fjs for a nice 80 series lc/lx. Would have to be slightly modded with factory interior, arb bumper, roof rack etc with a proven history of maint and repairs. The fj40 is a 2 owner with fact pto working. Some rust recent carb rebuild. All original down to the Toyota floor mat. The 62 is my dd and recently has had front diff rebuild and reseal along with a host of other maintance done. Some rust on the remaining 3 doors but I have 3 fact replacements along with original rims. It has OME lift 3in and good procomp ATs. This is just a feeler to see what if any trades are out there. Located in central florida. Trucks have been florida trucks whole life.

You near the hospital in Orlando? If so, my inlaws live right around the corner from you and that would be the cruiser that convinced me to get a 62.

If not, sorry I bothered you.:p

Good luck!

Yep! Thats the guy I bought it from a year ago. Which is incediently down the street from me. I always drooled over it while driving down the street

:Update: Posting more pics to the ad, really haven't gotten any bites. Willing to trade for 4x4 Tacoma, 4runner, FJ80 series locked/unlocked or anything diesel. Posting a link to photo bucket for more pics if interested. Note on the fj40: i bought it from the second owner, all the homemade self stuff and cb was there when he bought it in the early 1980's. The 40 is all original and is becoming more difficult to find in a unmolested condition.

Im lookin for another fj40 to restore, refurbish, redo and have a 2001 Toyota 4runner with 85, miles on it. Dealer maintained at Toyota on 436 and university where i bought it new sept 2001. So could have them print out service history. I work a half mile away so nearly all miles are to and from surfing at cocoa beach. I have never had a problem ever this 4 runner runs like new and will continue for a long time. For me to trade it, your vehicles need to be in amazing mechanical condition and original. ( I'm a bit of a purist). let me know

Trp, I appreciate the offer but ive had bad experiences with those 2nd gens and tend to stay away from them .
Yoda, got any more photos of the interior?

Charley, too bad youre in VA, im having a difficult time finding any decent 80s here in central FL

I have a lifted, lined, and locked 80 with zero rust. Higher mileage, but great gas mileage indicates a replaced/rebuilt engine. Check my garage for a pic.
