You tore into that like a Badger on a Beefsteak...

The plan is to do the OME suspension (I think) and a Gozzard body I have not decided if I am keeping the factory engine or going with a 350. I just bought a set of new 33X12.5 BF Mud for $700CDN 1st step is to get down to the frame and sandblast and powder coat it.

Better you than me. I will be keeping my eye on this thread. I can see you REALLY have your work cut out for you.

Looks like you need to sweep up some of the body that is on the floor.

Looks like a lotta work cut out for ya, good luck, you've certainly started out strong.

NICE WORK, KEEP UP THE POSTS AND AS ALWAYS ...

WELCOME TO MUD :flipoff2: AND SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR MOOOLA ....

CHEERS ..

Good start, cant wait to see the rest of the build up

Any Suggestions

This seems to be the worst of the frame rust does anyone have any ideas on a good way to go about the repair.

That's some very severe cancer. I would suggest getting a wire wheel and where there is significant rust. Wire wheel away to determine how much rust has how far the rust has penetrated the metal. Alternatively you could get it sand blaseted, as thsi will uncover all the rust.

If the rust is too far down the frame rails to get a good patch plate in, you might want to look for a new frame.

Pay particular attention to where the springs mount (spring perch) to each side of the frame. If there is significant rust, you should strongly condier getting a new frame. You don't want to compromise your saftey with your axel running two seconds behind you when you hit a significant bump.

I'm sure you can find a nice frame for failry inexpensive,...JMHO.

Good luck.!

So is there any frames in Ontario? or MI, northern NY?? the 74 I have isn't any better. I think I will have to rebuild the whole rear end.

where are you located? I have a 76 solid frame. I live in Mississauga. Still contimplating to do my resto. But I know a guy north of London which has a frame and other stuff for sale.
