I am going to sell my 1977 BJ40 and I need the community's help.

I have a guy that wants to trade me for a

93 Toyota Landcruiser Land Cruiser with all 3 LOCKERS - FZJ80

ad is here

93 Toyota Landcruiser Land Cruiser with all 3 LOCKERS - FZJ80

He is in AZ so he wont have to face the issues I have faced with getting it titled in CA.

I was just wondering if you think I should make the trade.

Here is my AD, I am getting the starter rebuilt and trying to locate the glo plug relay for it to run correctly

Any advice would be appreciated

I don't think I would trade straight up but that's me. You could probably keep your BJ and find a cheaper 80.

I have all the legal import paperwork now the state of CA wants some EPA sticker? or a letter from Toyota saying that this vehicle with this VIN meets certain EPA requirements, I was just gonna title it in AZ but decided to sell it

Shoot...If your rig were titled, I'd give you mine for it! The 80 on the other end of this isn't worth 12K...not even close.

i like how everything on the inside of your rig is painted the same beige color.
The trade = no good.

80's are all over the place..... if you open your door and look outside, you'll probably see a few for sale haha.

disclaimer: I own a 3xlocked 80 and love it!!

i think the verdict is no on the trade, thanks guys

will consider less for mud members interested in buying as is, needs a starter (know a local guy that can rebuild the current one), a fuel pump and a glo plug relay

what is the process for getting a CA title on this? anyone know? potential pitfalls?

I wouldn't even try to title it in CA I am sure there are guys with experience that know how to but my plan was to title it in AZ where the laws are not as strict

NOW MINE !!! :flipoff2:
