For Sale 1977 BJ40 V-KC Restored, limited time offer.

I hate to be listing this, and I hate to potentially sell it. But, putting this up here for now, to see if anyone is interested before I either source parts and repair head gasket myself, or drop a 3B in. At this point in the year, I honestly don't really have time to deal with this. so if someone wants to pick up now where I left off, fine. If not, then I'll get'er done myself.

So, this is a temporary, as-is, offer.

The truck:

1977 BJ40, Build Date 11/1977. All stock, all original. JDM, imported from the south part of Japan.
Certified original 60,000km approx 37,000 miles
B Engine
4 Speed Transmission
Front bumper winch
24v system
Heat / Radio / Etc. This isn't a stripped down BJ40 like the ones from Central America, this one that was sold at a Toyota Dealership in Japan.
60/40 Front Bench. New upholstery on bench seat.
Original Toyota Rubber floor mat
The vehicle speaks for itself, no rust/corrosion, super straight body, factory example. Any motivated individual could turn this into an amazing rig.
Head gasket aside, everything works wonderfully.

The cons:
A blown head gasket. This happened recently and unexpectedly, due to leaking radiator and torn radiator cap/neck which went unnoticed on my last road trip until it was too late, because I am an idiot. I have since purchased a new oem radiator which will be included.
Rear view mirror fell out of the housing and cracked - will need new mirror.
Tires should be replaced with newer ones.
Missing landcruiser badging above front wheels.

Priced as is $22,000, firm. Rig is located in Portland, OR.

I approve of this rig and bezel orientation!

wasnt this for sale for a while recently-$30-40k...? it must have blown an hg moving it from the port of import to home...fresh paint- fresh undercoating/ sealer- freshly blown hg. hrmmmm B engines routinely blow HG's at 40k miles?????

I personally would treat this like a fine wine......let it sit a year or two and wait for rust sediment to come creeping thru the paint and pick it up for $3500 and do all the needed rust and hg work fully armed with 2-3 sets of Eazy-Outs for the umpteen rust welded bolts id plan to encounter.

And whats with the GTtwinturbo badge on the rear? i guess the japanese seller had a twin scroll on it prior to selling......i guess 50lbs of boost will cook even the mighty B engine in 40k miles.

welcome to mud :flipoff2:
