Hello,
I am rebuilding a 1977 Aisan 2f carb and after watching pinheads videos about the vacuum actuator, I have found that the vacuum does not pull up the butterfly to be open fully. The only way I can get it to open fully is if I rotate it on the opposite side where the linkage is connected to the primary. I know the primary is supposed to open the butterfly about 2mm on the secondary before the vacuum kicks in, but even if I manually push the vacuum in, the butterfly does not pull open. I suspect that it is still gummed up even after soaking and spraying some carb cleaner onto it. Any tips of tricks for the secondary butterfly to open smoothly?
Thanks
