1976 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser. This is a clean and all original FJ40 that has been in New Mexico and North Texas when not being towed all over North America delighting myself and a host of hunters to it's unique ability to get us wherever we have wanted to go.
I am the second owner having bought my Land Crusher from a Delta pilot living in New Mexico in 1985. This Delta Pilot went all out when he ordered this Land Crusher. Over the last 24 years as I have bought new vehicle's the main thing I had to have in a new vehicle was the ability to be able to tow my Land Crusher. The Land Crusher has about 115,000 miles on it, the odemeter stopped working a few years back, but of these 115,000 miles somewhere between 40,000 and 45,000 of these miles are towed miles. Towed every year to Colorado, to Mexico and Canada. I took my hunting quite serioulsy. I had the best of everything, from my Weatherby 7 mag, my Sorrel snow boots, Nikon spotting scopes and of course the best hunting vehicle in America, the Land Crusher. Due to health reasons, my hunting days are over. Thus time to find a new home for this effecient deer, elk, moose killer.
My Land Crusher is original. The original paint, the original Toyota engine, not some restored Chevy 327 engine. The engine in this crusher is in excellent condition. Purr's like a kitten, does not use a drop of oil. The original engine that Toyota put into this jeep is a fine, strong, well built engine. The transmission, the four wheel drive, all work well. The jeep is only used from October through December and then she sit's for the next nine months. The last several years it has averaged less than a hundred miles a year. Once a year I take jeep to get inspected and passes inspection with a breeze. People will often stop and ask me about the jeep, they always have favorable comments. It is an eye catcher.
The jeep has a Warn 8000 pound winch, with remote cable. Factory air conditioning. The Delta pilot put on a Holly 4 barrel carburtor which helps the Land Crusher to climb the steepest of grades. Has a rack on top which can easily transport a canoe or other supplies. If a person wanted to buy this jeep for hunting, it's ready to go, NOTHING needs to be added or changed or fixed. If a person was looking for a FJ40 to restore I don't think he will find a jeep with a better engine and transmission than this one. As one might expect the rubber weather stripping around the doors need to be replaced. Very little rust, most of what rust their is can mostly be removed with a little steel wool.
I am asking $8765 for the Crusher. Will listen to any serious offer.
If you have any questions about the crusher please feel free to call me at 214 878 9260.
