I purchased this Land Cruiser from a mechanic at Man-A-Fre (a Southern California Land Cruiser specialty shop, http://man-a-fre.com) who built it as his personal rig. It has been well cared for and improved where possible since I bought it in 2004. I love this Cruiser. It is the third one I have owned in the last 20 years and it is by far the most capable and the most fun to drive.

Nice rig! GLWS

will it pass CA smog?

It passed smog mid last year. The air cleaner assembly that is installed now is needed for CA smog. I also have a nicer one that I install after the smog inspection. Sounds and runs better with the one that looks like this:

No rust is visible. Also, the truck gets covered on the rare occasion that it rains in Southern California. I can take close pictures of the diamond plate and post them if you like. Let me know.

Thanks. Is the diamond easily removable? Has the frame been painted grey, powdercoated, or galvanized?

The diamond plate is secured with stainless steel screws. The frame is painted grey. I also bought some top notch paint to either touch up or re-do the frame. Only ever used it on the sliders. I have a full gallon and 3 a 1/3 rattle cans that will come with the truck. I paid $146.00 for the gallon.
