1976 Toyota Land Cruiser
1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
Located in Southern California, in Ventura County near LA border.
$15k
66k miles. Rebuilt 2F engine, 4 speed, 4.11's, rebuilt axles with ARB air
lockers, power steering with Saginaw pump and Toyota box, 4-wheel disc
brake conversion, dual battery tray.
Mostly restored, minimal rust on tub and frame. Top and side panels
have rust/poor paint and could use some rework, but have no holes.
Doors could use some attention too.
Tub floor and under side sprayed with bedliner, all new seats, tuffy
center console, rear heater, all new hoses and belts. 33x12.5 Goodyear M/T,
fronts and spare are minimally worn, rears are pretty worn. All new
seat belts, fronts are lap/shoulder. Has a repaired dash pad, which
isn't perfect, but is functional.
All federal smog equipment present and functional, passes smog.
Recently passed, with cert good for a transfer until 12/11/15.
Includes a box of spare smog parts (manifolds, VSVs, smog pumps, etc).
I also have the service manuals and the ancient hard to find smog
diagnostic checker box.
Includes a period-correct Clarion analog stereo from a Datsun with
hidden aux input for modern devices. Also comes with a decent bestop
bikini top, and a trashy bestop tigertop with a compete frame. And a
homemade plywood tailgate for when the top is off.
I will also include a couple boxes of other random spares, including
lenses, bearings, replacement headliner, Weber carb, tubular headers,
FJ60 manifolds, etc.
Registration is current, clean CA title in hand.
I bought this a few years ago from a friend of a friend, who spared no
expense on it. I fixed a bunch of minor stuff, got all of the smog
system installed and working, redid the power steering, got it
registered in CA, etc. It's in great shape compared to a lot of them
out there, but is not a showcar. Has about 66k miles, most of
the work was done within the last 6k. It has been garaged since I got
it.
It runs and drives great. I wanted one of these since I was a kid, but
I don't use it enough to justify keeping it.
Not interested in trades or lowball offers. I will accept cash
or a trip to your bank for a wire transfer or an in-bank-issued cashiers check.
