I have a 76 fj40 that has years of questionable wiring. We have replaced just about everything but the engine and starter.
It was running, not great, with the original carb, I don’t know how. It was a mess. Replaced that and it helped till it got hot. Back firing and ran ruff. Distributor was is bad shape. Easiest solution was a pertronix system.
So, I’m installing a pertronix coil and ignition system.
I have the distributor set up, but have a question regarding the wiring of the coil.
I “think” the white wire is the correct wire to attach to the positive side of the coil, but there are several extra wires to deal with.
What should I do with the unused ones?
