SOLD SOLD SOLD
I'm selling my '76 FJ40. I bought this to keep for a long time, but now find myself eyeing another project so this one has to go. I've done about all I wanted to it. (Yes I prefer a more stock feel than a hardcore crawler) It's in great running condition with 70,000ish original miles, and less than 5000 miles on a rebuilt engine. I have tried to add back all the missing stock items I wanted to have in my cruiser like headrests and rear heat. The engine was desmogged by the po, but it was done well and runs like it should. I cleaned up, rebuilt and painted a ton of accessories and the engine compartment when I had the engine out for the rebuild. I added power steering with a genuine FJ40 PS Box and a saginaw PS pump. While working the front end over I replaced all the tre's and added 2 degree (steel) shims for better caster. The master cylinder was also replaced at that time. I had both heater cores and the gas tank cleaned and pressure tested. Anything that came out, was cleaned or sandblasted and painted before going back in. I did not cut corners because I was planning to keep this forever.
All that said, as great as I think this cruiser is, it is no show cruiser. It was built and used as a daily driver. The PO had it painted about 10 years ago and you can tell it's that old. There are a few places you can still see the original mustard paint like inside the glove box. The inside of the tub is coated with a black bed liner. I had to remove some of it under the drivers seat and pedals to clean up some rust that had started underneath. I put bedliner back in, but it was with a roller and didn't come out as thick as the original. There is a tear in the back of the passenger seat that I planned to get around to and just never have. I'm sure there are things I'm not thinking about, but I also didn't want to write a novel.
I'm asking $15,000 OBO. If you have any questions post it up or pm me. I would be glad to have someone of your choosing come and have a look at it.

The link above will take you to more pics. Apparently I entered them in reverse order so the newest ones show up first. Oh well, you get the point.
