I am selling my FJ40 to make room for the next project. $12K OBO. Located in Morris Cty NJ.

Here are the details:

- Stock 2F engine (de-smogged)
- 61K on the ODO
- Weber 38DGAS carb w/auto choke
- Aftmkt Headers
- All stock driveline components/tranny/transfer case, etc...
- No lift (stock springs are still well arched - fits 33" tires on there now)
- No power steering or AC
- New 2nd Gen Aqualu tub and tranny hump
- Aqualu tailgate with storage compartment
- Tub interior and underbody Rhino-lined black
- New STC soft top installed last year - has zip out rear window and side windows - rear window also rolls up
- Stock roll bar and padding (repainted black)
- New HFS 8274 winch bumper up front (never used with winch)
- Front seats re-covered with SOR vinyl covers - had custom covers made for the headrests with same material
- seat frames were blasted and re-painted
- Driver's seat frame has the extension kit installed (forgot who I bought it from)
- Heater was taken apart, blasted clean, rebuilt, and painted (not installed yet)
- Everything was re-painted stock olive-brown color (653) by PO (except tailgate as I had that painted to match) - no bubbling or peeling anywhere
- Front fenders are steel and were installed new before painting
- Original front doors, side aprons, and front bib were re-used in the build and re-painted with everything else (they have no rust)
- Front doors are literally perfect - no rust at all and no dings
- Frame is solid (was partially rust-proofed by PO with Rust Bullet)
- Cowl is solid including down to where new tub meets and footwells - all newly painted
- Optima red-top
- 5 BFG 33x9.5 MTs (yes the MTs - with atleast 70% tread left - spare is brand new - they don't make them anymore in this size - took me a while to find them)
- 5 Stock rims blasted, self-etching primered, and painted to stock grey color
- 5 OEM hub-caps
- new OEM windshield glass and weatherstripping installed before registering
- newish exhaust system
- new plugs and wires

Here are some more specifics:
- I have had this truck since Feb05
- I registered it and drove it first around Oct05
- I have put maybe 300 miles on this truck since that time
- It drives fine, starts without issue, and brakes fine
- There are no known mechanical issues
- Only electrical issue I know of is the Cig Lighter does not work (may be fuse - need to check)
- Truck was previously owned by a MUD member
- Truck was previously serviced by Dave Dearborn (according to PO) - so this is another reference if needed
- I have never wheeled it (a sin I know - I wheel my Rover - its worth less!)
- I have never driven it in the snow or rain
- I have never driven it after snow or rain
- Garage kept since I bought it
- Everything works - all gauges and lights/blinkers, etc...
- Currently registered, inspected, legal (no smog issues or other)
- Compression check (when I bought it) was perfect - can check again if needed
- Vacuum is very good - no exhuast or intake leaks

Here are some additional parts I have:
- original hard top sides with glass - usual rust - these are un-restored condition
- original rear ambi doors - usual rust - un-restored
- original fiberglass top - un-restored - no holes or dents
- brand new OEM fuel pump (thought I needed it - didn't so this is a spare)
- brand new OEM front indicator lights (pricey - haven't installed yet - the ones on there are fine and the CCOT brand I think)
- rear tire carrier (I blasted this clean and then primed with self-etching primer - did not top-coat yet as I was not sure I was going to use this or get a swing-away set-up)
- Box of misc stuff (weatherstripping, gaskets, some more emblems, etc..)
- Two rattle cans of the 653 olive brown color for touch-up work
- Extra Fiberglass rair tailgate - white - brand new and never used or painted (from that boat builder in Canada - forgot his name)
- Extra Fiberglass tranny hump - new and never used or painted
- Pair of new Aluminum running boards (stock design - silver in color) - not installed yet as I was considering something else (sliders or nerf bars)

If I were to keep it, I would likely put a 2 or 4" HFS lift in there. The rear springs are a little saggy as you might notice in the pics. But the 33" tires do not rub though I have not wheeled it as stated before (where they may rub during articulation). I would also put a spare tire carrier on there (either the OEM one I have or an aftermkt set-up).

I can take more pics once it clears up here. We had snow yesterday and rain all day today. Let me know what you want to see and I can shoot and post the pics.

PM me on this site as needed for additional info or requests. I can also be reached at 908-229-5716.

Thanks for looking.

AndrewT

PS - The white on the rocker panel in the one pic is dust - not a paint defect

Hi all.

I WAS the PO and sold this Andy. All described is accurate and whether or not the odometer sticks now or not, that mileage is/was accurate. Apart from the body, that 40 ran like no other I have driven up to or since i.e. very strong.

If anyone wants to chat with me about this, I can/will verify all that was done. All body parts were removed and sand blasted. New Tub etc..

Good luck Andy.

Thx for posting Jason.

Bump

Forgot I also have 4 white wagon wheels with decent tires on them (some generic brand). These are also included with the vehicle.

All reasonable offers will be considered.

Trade for a nonlocked '96 FJ80 w/ 149k?

Trade for a nonlocked '96 FJ80 w/ 149k?

Sorry. I've got to thin the herd. I have a '66 Rover Series IIa SWB sitting in my garage and I need the space for the pending frame swap.

understand. I should be doing same. Good luck.

Buy my junk.

BTT......

Would you be willing to part with the extra tailgate and tranny hump?
