Selling my 1975 FJ40 fst. This Landcruiser has an interesting history. The cruiser was originally purchase by the Disney corporation who owned it for 14 years in the LA area. It was used as a camera truck (camera brackets still on the frame). Rumor is it was also in a Herby the Love bug movie – but I have no evidence of this.
The truck was in California it’s entire life until I purchased it and shipped it back to GA. It’s very rust free – some rust in the rear sill but otherwise very solid. It has a 4” lift and no fenders have been cut. Still has the original windshield and original plexiglass on soft doors.
Cranks up, runs and stops very well. All electrical works as it should except for the windshield wipers – I have not looked into this. The horn can be a bit finicky as well – I think the contact need to be cleaned. I’ve spent many hours stripping layers of paint to expose some of its original rustic green. It’s no beauty queen but does get a lot of attention when driven.
This is the last year that the FST (factory soft-tops) was shipped into the US – also the first year of the 2F motor. It’s been de-smogged. Tires are older but have good tread and no sidewall cracking.
Recent work includes removal of exhaust manifolds, decked and planed and new gasket applied, choke lubricated and parking brake adjusted.
I added the Warn 8274 winch with CCOT front bumper.
Additional items assembled during my ownership:
