Hey cruiser heads looking to sell my 1975 FJ-40, basically stock and in decent shape...
I have it listed on craigslist here:
1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40
To give a better detail of what I have in to it and have done to it:
- replaced motor with late-model 1979 cruiser motor (aprox 60,000 on it)
- new exhaust
- replaced front steering control (front end is tight and straight)
- new radiator
- new alternator
- new starter
The late 1975 model has the awesome 4 speed tranny, front disc brakes, ambulance doors and cruiser axles...
otherwise she's in good shape; some body rust (see pics)
and frame has only minor surface rust in some places, but nothing major (I have seen much, much worse as this is my 3rd cruiser) (see pics... the white is rust nuetralizer, the black is the undercoating peeling) ...in no places does the frame rust compromise the integrity of the frame.
This cruiser is definitely in need of some TLC but is a solid project FJ-40... at a fair price...Take this baby over to Aaron at HCORE4x4 on 421 here in Boone and have him turn it into the most capable 4WD around ; ) ...he specializes in custom 4x4 rebuild and restoration...
I am asking $5000 OBO, so come take a look and make an offer...
