I can't seem to find someone in the Chicago area to do a rebuild on my cruiser motor.

Looking for motor I can use for a years while I save and end up sending my motor somewhere to get rebuilt.

Trying to keep as stock as possible so not interested in other motor options.

Anyone have anything?

Thanks,
Goebs

I have a good 74 f.5 in des moines that needs a new home... would make you a great deal, possibly even deliver to your door - PM me if interested

Eric

If that f.5 comes with front motor mont brackets and you swap the HB, you could use @erics motor. Good to see you're still around.:)

I do have the motor mount brackets with it... let me know

I am still hangin. Just been lurking and dreaming. Also been now playing with my boys car and truck projects...

I am interested but am unclear as to the difference between your engine and my 2f.
Mark,
What did you mean in your comment? Would this thing be a replacement or going backwards and more complicated then this parts replacer can handle? I want to go stock and original.

Eric,
Hold that thing and or while I confirm fit, let me now what you want for it. Shoot me a PM. I'll do the same.

Thanks!

With the front motor mt brackets no longer in question, it's a drop-in. To run your alternator on it, you will need your HB to be on the crank.

Manifold studs will probably be 10mm where yours would be 12mm. I have stepped studs to make that conversion if you're running a stock manifold setup where it matters.

Spoke to Eric today and thinking his engine could work. If it is a drop in with just swaping a part of two, This might be my best option to get the cruiser onthe road while I hunt down someone to rebuild my original engine.

Anyone know if a 2f head will drop on a 1.5f? I am off to search that now.
