Wanted 1975-1982 FJ40 in Northeast/Mid Atlantic

I'm looking to buy a 1975-1982 North American Spec FJ40. I'm looking to spend between $12-$18k
I'm on Long Island and willing to travel in the Mid Atlantic to New England areas for the right FJ.

I was thinking same and live in northeast. I ended up buying a 1974 with aluminum tub conversion, disk brakes, power steering but no hardtop or doors for higher end of price range. Even though it is earlier style with 1.5F engine, I am happy. Good luck.

I have one am planning to sell by the spring. 68k miles. 78 nearly complete. Runs incredibly well. This winter am planning to replace leaf springs, all steering linkages, and swap in the new set of OEM steelies. Happy to sell now in your price range as well.
