Sadly selling my 1974 FJ55. $5,500 OBO. View attachment 1114038 View attachment 1114039 View attachment 1114041 View attachment 1114042 View attachment 1114043 Very good starter with lots of upgrades: V8 with Edelbrock carb, ARB rear locker, Ranger Overdrive, Disc front axles, Power steering, electric cooling fan, heavy duty custom trailer hitch, small spring lift, front springs reversed that helps it track straight--rear window works perfectly. Solid floors and interior w/ radio/sub/amp installed, everything works except back-up lights and emergency brake. Current registration, insurance and clear title. Has typical body issues (see pics) especially with the roof and rear fenders and has occasionally shown bad shimmies around 45mph (could be related to the BFG 33x10.50 tires which have great tread, but are 10 years old. I've had issues with the transfer case popping out of gear--or being difficult to shift between high and low range. Definitely needs some attention, but in pretty good shape for an east coast FJ55. Considering the transfer case issue, I highly recommend towing it away (but you can definitely test drive it). I want to find it a good home. Comes with an assortment of extra parts/a couple of stock rims and two roof racks. Can send additional photos. Thanks, Richie

Jeff--I'm leaving town today and will not be back until Wednesday evening. The truck is about 5 miles outside of State College. PM me with your # if you want to talk on the phone.

Well this little piggy has a new home. Didn't even leave the state! Trailered it home the 120 miles from State College today without incident. Richie's description is pretty accurate, truck starts and drives pretty well. What sold me on this one? A lot of things. All four doors, hood and tailgate close nicely. None look they've ever been off the truck. Interior is in good shape and doesn't have the offensive smell a lot of older cruisers have. Headliner is nice. Nice dash, nice front seat. Glass is all good. Rear window works and the weatherstripping around it is decent. Got a lot of extra parts with it, too- this wasn't Richie's first FJ55. Floors are solid and there is rust almost everywhere- but it has a nice patina and I'm not gonna do anything to it body wise. Plan is to get some new tires on the old girl, gonna go with stock steel wheels and hubcaps. After that i just plan to drive it and fix any issues that pop up. For as original and unmolested as it is (of course it does have a V8) with all the rust it ain't a good candidate for a resto in my opinion.
