Would love to hear some opinions on this...not a lot of pictures but looks pretty clean and checks a lot of the boxes of what I’ve been looking for

This one was on ebay. reached 35K with reserve not met. The seller then listen for 65K and then resisted for 70k. Got greedy based on initial auction interest. Still on ebay.

It's seller is associated with amdv781@gmail.com, WARNING!

This email is associated with several nice items, camper, boat etc.. on Craig's List. All should be valued as twice what they're asking. This FJ should be listed at twice what they're asking for as well. Too good to be true!

The person who listed this FJ on Mud here is in Fayetteville, NC.

They also have a camper listed on Craig's List but is located in Colorado Springs. (Same email address but on separate sides of the map.

Then there is this fraud post using the same email: https://www.antiscammers.org/amber-davis-scammer-1960-cadillac-deville-convertible/

Ain't buying it kids and I'd keep walking!

I posted the link. I have nothing to do with the vehicle or seller. I came across the ad during my nightly CL search. Please don’t imply I have any association with a scammer

All is good, no one believes you are associated with the seller. You just posted it up to be helpful to members looking for an FJ.

Greedy? What are you, a Marxist? No one is stopping you from building your own FJ.
My work life is feast or famine buddy. I only own 15% of this vehicle. The majority of the investment was made by a friend, to give me work. I won't even make minimum wage on this (which I knew in advance, but FJ40s are worth it).

"Greedy." :meh:

There is no greed factor here. This is one of the few that actually looks the part of a $70k vehicle. I’ve seen others on here spend that on dog crap, IMO.

I put over 2000 hours post tear-down into it. Was livin' the dream..........with exception to battling the points/ignition system which gave me bruises on my rib cage from bending over the compartment for days on end...

When someone lists for 65k and then raises to 70k, I call greedy (we don't have to agree). Of course it is a free country any anyone can list for whatever one want. I believe you that working on it caused you sweat and tears. Kudos on having a great friend who gave the work during tough time. Restoration is tough and often you don't get your money back. Met a great restorer here who does this as retirement hobby, but will tell you there is little money made at the end. Personally this one will never sell for $65-70k. One member in this thread has a great selection of fully restored that can be taken home for $50k. For 65-70K you can get an 83 unicorn. I hope the built costed substantially less as you may be upside down on it.

You're playing the moral judge.
greed
n.
An excessive desire to acquire or possess more than what one needs or deserves

You don't know me. But I digress. I'm not here to defend myself. Just calling out your lack of prudence.
