Up for sale is my 1974 FJ40. Purchased it in 2013 from a gentleman in the Tacoma/ Seattle area who received it as payment for some work he did for a client. The cruiser was bone stock when I received it, and I upgraded a few things. I am selling because I have other expenses I need to pay for.
Here are my modifications:
-34 x 9.50 TSL Super Swampers with OEM welded rims
-Man-O-Fre Mojave 4” lift kit with front shackle reversal. (as a note the springs on the back inverted and may need to be replaced), I had the springs re-arched, and the inverted again, so I removed a leaf or two and it seems to be ok although I haven’t done any real wheeling with them.
- Tom Woods custom Drive shaft
-OME shocks and steering stabilizer
-SOR rear disc brake kit
-SOR Front disc conversion kit
-Metal Tech family roll cage
-Warn 8274 winch with bumper mount
-Rear sill replaced/ fabricated
-Some minor body work (removing major rust spots, except where the hard top meets the body. There is a lot of rust there)
-Spray can paint (3 years ago)
Here is the bad:
-The rear spring issue
-The vehicle has sat for 2 years
-The rear lights worked, and then I disconnected them to install new lights, and they do not work now.
-The hard top is in pieces, but I have it
Other than that I think it is a solid rig, almost ready to take out into some real 4x4 situations.
I took it to Pismo Turf n Surf a few years ago and it did great.
Also have some tow accessories and air compressor accessories that are included, plus the Hi-Lift Jack.
Would like to sell this week (by Saturday), open to reasonable offers. Asking $12,000. Will work with shipping, or any arrangements that would need to be made.
