1973 FJ40 Steering Column and Ignition

Hi all, I am restoring a 1973 FJ40 that does not have a steering column. I have access to parts from a 72 FJ and I wanted to know if I can switch the 1972 steering column and wheel while also moving the ignition cylinder to the left side of the column dash as it was in 1972? Will this be difficult? I prefer the look of the 72 column, wheel, and ignition position.
