1973 FJ40 for sale $1999 or BO or trade
Yes, the same 40 I picked up 3 years ago to restore (Thanks Oleg, Ige, and Milke!) In the meantime I picked up a nice 65 that needs just a little work to run so I am going to part with the 73. If she does not sell pretty quick I will be parting it out.
the basics: 1973 FJ40, light blue, bought with no engine, dropped in a 2F from a 1978 pig. NOT running but has everything needed to get it on the road.
GOOD: Top and doors in good shape, the floor and bed is in good shape, back doors and all glass but the windshield are good. 2f with original 3 speed tranny and tcase, 4 inch lift springs, (tires and rims different than in pic), everything is pretty solid, I was excited to have a good truck to restore.
BAD: Nothing is hooked up on the engine, but it is ready to go. Have everything needed to get it on the road: gas tank, seats, driveshafts, etc., plus you can raid my parts stash for stuff you need. Hood has a slight crease where I pulled it out of the garage with the hood up. D'OH!!
Some rust in the rear corners, pretty typical. rear sill is actually still ok, but will need replacing some day. Fenders decent, some rust , refinished and repainted one.
Overall a very solid truck I was looking forward to restoring, but the 65 is much closer to being on the road. I would consider dropping the price and keeping the 2F for the 65 if anyone wanted to put in something else like a v8. Also will consider parting it out soon.
Thanks!!
