I sent you a PM. The air cleaner has been substantially modified from the original, whether you realized this or not, and the modification was not evident from the pic.

The stock inlet, pictured on the left, is a separate piece with a standing seam where it attaches to the canister. The one on the right with no seam is what you sent.

yes, I received the PM.
Here are pics of the air cleaner in my '73. It looks different than either of the two you have.
I am sure there was more than one plant they were made in back in the day, and maybe were changed from time to time.
To be honest I never really noticed any difference. Never had a need to compare.

Well my bad for grabbing the first air cleaner which came to hand. It is the only one with the lip like that, specifically because it has a sliding baffle on the inside for a cold climate snorkel.

The others all look like yours.

@crustycruise, here’s a perfect example of what I told you about.

@3_puppies I chose that air cleaner partially because you asked me about the dual snorkel. Here’s another shot of one mounted on my ‘64... just because it’s something different.

As resellers, I wouldn’t mind having your opinion, as well as @pardion on the condition of the part I purchased.

@65swb45 As far as condition from the photo's above A/C looks serviceable, not seeing the inside, can't tell how the inlet horn is affixed, is there body filler smoothing the outer to inner flange? In the first photo's I don't see it as the dual with the hot air intake. And yes those are cool.
Some 1973 part numbers.....
9/72-2/73 17700-60304
2/73-9/73 17700-60305
9/73-1/75 17700-60370
10/73-1/75 17700-60390 Hot air intake (has nipple on bottom of air intake for an 1 1/2" corrugated hose to manifold area)

Note...I can not find the one that's on your truck on the micro fiche, but have seen many in the last 43 years.
Looks like the part label is still on the air cleaner top.

Mark, that is a unique setup on the cold weather intake, I've never seen 1 of those in person. Wonder what the original application would have been or where that would have been sold.

the one with the damage is in terrible shape, the lip is all pinched and deformed. hard to see in the pic but it looks like it has several ripples at 11:00.
there had to be quite abit of damage that someone tried to massage out.
I would not be happy buying that in that condition, I can't imagine the air cleaner sitting in there very good.

@65swb45 Seeing this photo of the inside and the top rim of the air cleaner showed me this is not a serviceable part, a reminder when selling to inspect parts fully before putting on a value and selling. I would ask the seller for a full refund. Or supply a non repaired good bottom air cleaner can. John

Thank you for the credit Robert. Hoping you can find me another in better shape so we can do more business.:)

I don't right now, I've been out of commission for over a week now.
I will grab some good pics and send over. Hopefully tomorrow.
Rob.

rear bumperettes. One is in good condition, the other has been damaged at some point an pushed back to shape. all holes still line up. original paint, dust, surface rust.

I’m interested in the air intake. Which month was the ‘73 this came off? I’m looking to replace the cracked intake on my 12/74 F155

The intake will work unless your running a Cali-spec and NEED to have the extra port that ONLY came on the Cali-spec intake.

It was a originally sold in CA, so it probably is a CA spec. I’ll have to check, I currently have a ‘77 2F installed. Can I ask what the benefit of the CA spec is? I assume it’s part of the emission system? Being that it’s ‘74 smog exempt. It won’t need emission support. I’m getting ready to restore the FJ back to stock starting with the engine.
