Wonderful 1973 model year Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser up for sale on eBay and in need of a good home.
I bought and rebuilt the Cruiser while in high school and have owned it for over eleven years. It runs extremely well for its age and has never had a major issue since it was rebuilt. I’ve put approximately 20,000 miles on it since the full mechanical re-build. At the time every major component such as engine and transmission were professionally rebuilt and most of the minor stuff such as the fuel pump, gaskets, etc. were replaced with new parts.
The tub has some rust in the back underneath the ambulance doors and there is some rust on the front two corners of the engine compartment. I’ve taken close up photos so you can see what I’m talking about and make your own decisions based on it.
For the past seven years whenever it’s needed service it’s gone to TLC in Van Nuys, CA. It still has the original Stock straight six cylinder F Engine ( 3.8 liter, 236.7 cu. In, 155 HP at 4,000 rpm) and stock 3 speed manual transmission and transfer case. No hard top or hard doors.
