craigslist 1972 fj40 fst in Florida

I saw this listing and thought someone might want to take a look. They are asking $7,200.00 or best offer.

1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser

Called and spoke with him. Seems like a straight up guy. Truck sounds reasonable. Some fiberglass on the front floors, but he said the bottom of the truck shows no rust through, so not sure why it's there.
He swapped the carb out, but has the original Aisin.
Believes the paint has been touched up in places - not sure if the rest is original or not
Runs good
Some of the electrical doesn't work - blinkers, wipers

Probably some more. He seemed like an honest guy. I may go check it out for something to do, since I'm already down in FL.

Rot at the front quarter /drivers side seam...... just for starters.....this would need some boots on the ground to really assess how pervasive the rot is along the floor/and A pillar channels imho.

At this price range it's pretty much par for the course. The days of finding a rot free Cruiser in ANY mechanical shape for less than $10k is pretty much gone. Assessing the rot is definitely something I would want to do, but from what he is asking and what I can see in the pics his price is pretty good.
