1972 FJ40 For Sale, $3500

Selling a 1972 FJ40 that I started to fix up. It is a good running original. Stock engine 3 speed, power drum brakes, etc. It has new upholstery on the front seats, new oem exhaust system from the manifold to the tailpipe, rebuilt carb, newer starter and alternator, etc. It runs and drives and stops good for this year of rig. Speedo shows 46k and I believe it probably has 146K. It has about average rust in the rear, a couple spots on the rockers, and on the top edge of the driver fender. Front floor pans are rust free. The rear cargo area where the body mount bolts go through have some rust beginning to show. I replaced the hood, bib, and passenger side fender that were bent up in an accident. All damage was above the frame and was not severe. I still have the old hood and bib if you want to see what it was like. It is missing the mirrors and the rear heater has been disconnected. Heater is still there and I will throw in a spare just in case there is a problem with the motor or core. I also have several original wheels and hubcaps that are included. Drop me a PM if interested. I'll e.mail you pictures of any part of this.

I passed information along on this rig to two people I know in Sheridan who may be interested. Looks like a good one. Early 70's drum-brake Cruisers rock! Hope you sell it.

:Rigger

that bib looks familiar! good luck with the sale.

This 40 is still available. It would be a great daily driver and is very restorable.

Sent out lots of pictures and information to people. None even responded. Listed on e.bay last night.

Saw it on eBay. Asked the wife if she wanted to go to WY, she said yes. Then I led into asking if I could buy the 40 an dwe drive it back. :) Trip of a lifetime! :bounce:

She said....no we need a cruiser for the family (100 series).

Good luck with the sale, I would have to name this one Papa Smurf if it were mine.

There's a 60 I have been looking at in PA. You could drive it back here!!!
