Picked up the engine from bd turnkey and got the headers and camaro oil pan on. Debating now on if I should go ahead and replace the rear main seal since now would be the easiest time to do it. Just need to find if anywhere rents the alignment tool nearby.

Nice. Doesn't the turn key have fresh gaskets and seals? You don't need an alignment tool. The rear seal is pretty stiff. Put it in the cover first, lube and slip it over the crank. Align the bottom of the cover parallel with the block then tighten down the cover. I would do it with the pan off so there is no chance of it interfering with aligning the rear cover.

I know he runs the engine on a stand and checks sensors and compression but I don't believe he does anything with the seals, at least for the main seal or oil pan.
