- This one is probably 20-30 mins from me if anyone wants me to take a look at it for them.

Selling my 1971 FJ40. New brakes, carburetor, fuel pump. Neat vehicle with solid body no diamond panels, a couple minor rust spots one seen on drivers door side. Box of new latches and gaskets and winch in box. Just not the time to finish this as it should be.
Text only will not answer calls.

I called the bezel police 👮🏻‍♂️.
I’ve never seen a cruiser with one fender flare passenger side, and no fender flare on driver side. First time for everything I guess. 😎

I like to see FJ40's out there that are in this price range and condition!!!

It will be a sad day for me when the only two options people have is a $30K restored fj40 or a rust bucket/parts car that needs major work and people still want $8k-$10k for it.

I love classic cars as well and would love to have a 55 Chevy or a 70 Dodge Challenger but I don't have $10k to buy a "basket case" that needs another $15k just to get it back on the road.

Yes... it is not a 1981, 2F, disk break, 4 speed, power steering, AC FJ40...

But it looks like a great driver / project for someone to get into a FJ40 at a reasonable price!

PS... I am not a fan of putting a SB chevy in an FJ, but I have to admit... I like the idea of a Chevy straight six 250 in there... basically the same as the Toyota F, but cheaper to work on, hot road, etc.

It looks like it was originally red.

If any of you potential buyers need some inspiration :)
