1971 f motor distribtor (1 Viewer)

I have a '71 f- motor and also a 1981 chev with a hei dist. My question is since the toy motor is based on the chev design, can I change the gear and make the switch? This is my first fj and I am hooked on the fj-40 dream, spended hours looking and dreaming of mods to do. Thanks to all you that have posted your tricks, mods, and projects, I have a fair idea where I'm going with my rig.
