It is done. IT works. The engine is a Chevy 235.

I had to modify one of the heater core copper pipes. It had a 90* bend and I wanted straight. Copper plumbing pipe coupling was smidge to thin on the inside diameter. I was able to shrink the Toyota pipe stub using a lathe collet. That made a slip fit which I could neatly solder. The copper plumbing crush washers make a decent barb. I soldered one on the straight extension.

The valve is a common part that can be had from NAPA. The control button is from NAPA and looks the part. NAPA has two kinds of push-pull actuators. One had an exterior nut. This is a big help with the cramped area under the dash.

I sold my Hermes Pantograph lettering machine. I am regretting that now. It would be perfect for the knobs.

Now to address drivability issues.

Thanks all for the parts, advice and encouragement.

Scot
