7/1970 FJ40
3 speed on the column, original straight 6 motor, have the hardtop with all glass intact but removed(note: hard top is in four pieces in storage and the channels from the top to the side frames and rear glass are very rusty), 64k miles (will climb as the weather gets better), 32/36mm weber carb installed about 2k miles ago, K&N filter installed last month, new belt, new rotor cap, new plugs, and oil filter flushed two weeks ago. The 40 is VA inspected and is good until January 2013. The gauge cluster works except for the thermostat and the speedometer reads 5mph faster than actual speed. Heater works but as the pictures show its missing some of the plastic duct. Its got street tires with plenty of thread left (rear left tire loses pressure slowly enough to need air monthly). I haven't washed the truck thoroughly yet so some of the spots you may see are actually mud. If you have any questions or specific areas you want to see pics of let me know... and I'll be cleaning it here soon so it just shows defects.
Since installing the weber I've taken it to OBX (250mile roundtrip) once and to George Wash. National Forest (500mile roundtrip) twice and I've had no problems at all. I'm looking to trade it mainly because I need a newer more practical vehicle for repeat 5hr weekend drives and also for some light towing.
I have a brand new headliner not installed, smaller electrical components that i got from the previous owner, steel screws for the windshield hinges, a new toyota emblem, and a not too shabby tool box shown on the pictures that will be painted soon. I have receipts for parts and the auto shop that has done work on the 40 since 2011, nothing before. Also have a toyota 'owners manual' booklet.
I don't know if SOR memberships are transferrable but that could be thrown in also.

I'm mainly interested in 80 series w/ lockers, 2000 and newer Tacomas 4x4's, and 2000 and newer 4runners 4x4's... I'm not very picky as far as the vehicle is mechanically sound and can be used as a DD. A plus would be lift, tires, roof rack, snorkel, lockers, armor, etc. Any other vehicles might be a long shot but who knows.
I am willing to trade up and put some money on my part or trade down and accept $. $6,900 or trade.
