1970 FJ40 V-8 in Texas

1970 Toyota Landcruiser mechanically strong, almost rust-free (minor rust in usual areas: rear quarters), but needs paint job and hard top to complete the ride. Bought with intention of restoring completely, but never spent the time to do so. Driven very little: new engine has <5,000 miles. Comes with bikini top—no hard top.

Mechanical
  • Chevy 350 with original 3-spd tranny
  • Edelbrock intake/carb/cylinder heads
  • Mallory ignition system, distributor
  • Flowmaster headers/dual exhaust
  • TPI Smokey Mountain Suspension and Lift
Rubber
  • BFG Mud-Terrains 32x11.5 (90% tread left)
Recent maintenance/work:
  • Replaced master/slave cylinder w/in last 500 miles
  • Brake rotors/shoes turned/replaced 7/30/2007
Work to be done:
  • Minor electrical: speedometer/odometer, windshield wipers
