This is a running, driving and stopping project cruiser that has tons of potential. I purchased this from an elderly gentleman who started the restoration process (after owning it for years) but was unable to finish it. Now I am that guy who continued the project but didn't finish it.
Clean Oregon Title in my name. Lots of new parts still in bags that are either from SOR or OEM and I have a cataloged list of the new parts.
What I know:
*My understanding is that this truck spent most of it's life in Utah, Texas and Oregon.
*The rebuild was started years ago, not completed and then sat in a storage unit until I purchased it.
*Very little rust. There is some rust in the rear door passenger side and a small spot in the rear passenger floorboard. Everything else is very solid. The truck was prepped and painted professionally by the previous owner. I believe the truck was reassembled using original hardware that didn't have all the surface rust cleaned off. So, you can see rust streaks on the surface of the paint in places.
*2F engine. Previous owner paid to have a different 2F engine installed in 2014 by Land Cruiser NW. I have the receipt.
*3sp Transmission. Shifts through all the gears without issues.
*Holey Carburetor
*New Brake Booster and Master Cylinder, full cleaning of all brake cylinders and new brake fluid and flush.
*Hard top is disassembled but in good condition. Paint does not match the body
*Unknown miles on the body/trans/2f engine
What I have done since owning:
*Purchased period correct front bench seats
*Purchased period correct rims (5 are without tires and without hubcap clips, 1 has old rubber and clips)
*Purchased period correct front and rear heater
*Purchased period correct running boards and mounts
*Purchased period correct mirrors
*Completely cleaned the brake system and installed new BB and MC
*Installed working steering box
*Timed engine
*Tuned carburetor (needs a bit more tuning)
What needs to be finished:
If you want a white LC you can simply finish installing all the windows, connecting wires and bolting loose things to the truck. Otherwise, the truck is in a great position to paint whatever color you choose. The body is straight and aside from the rear swing door no rust repair needs to be done.
