'68 FJ-40LV-B *39,400 miles.

SOLD!

Comes with OEM style soft top, OEM powder coated soft doors, restored hard doors, frame off, zippy rust, brand spanking new everything. Also comes with the hard top. This is not restored but all the bits and pieces are there. If you want the top restored, I can do it for you for an additional fee (I'm guessing around $1000-$1200 to have it restored to the level the truck is. This could be less of course because I have not priced it out).

  • All of the body parts have been blasted and the tub was super clean when I started this. In other words, no suprises. Tub and body parts were is excellent condition.
  • Everything works electrical and mechanical. Original wiring scheme, RoundEyes head lights. All new lights, original '68 style tail lights. Treeroots bib parking light mod.
  • Brakes, steering, valves all adjusted per FSM, Red Toyota coolant with distilled water in radiator. Gear oil, engine oil, brake fluid all clear and new,
  • New springs with slight lift. New Rancho shocks, OME steering stablizer, greasable shackles. blah, blah, blah.
  • If you want it shipped, no problem, I'll be happy to work with you to get it done. If you want we can use an escrow service or my attorney to act as an intermediately whilst the funds are transferred.
  • You can choose to have a local Toyota dealership verify that everything is in order with the truck but you will have to pay the fee (about $100) because you would want these folks to act as your advocate.
  • It is just a solid truck that I spent a zillion dollars to get it to the level you see. It'll go for another 40 years!
  • The truck is near Savannah, GA. Always garaged, not wheeled, everything works exactly as it should. The price is $20k. Sweet deal. ask around on the 40 board!
Also check out the NADA Classic Car Price for this (not that this means a whole lot but maybe will give you peice of mind!)

* completely documented dealer maintenance records. Engine is a F155 professionally rebuilt with 1,400 miles. Original F145 is available.

You did a beautiful job. I would think you could get more than $20k.

Why the sale, thought you were pretty fond and proud of it?

That is a very nice cruiser. I am sad you are selling it, looks like you devoted a lot to it. Good luck!

Thank you for all the kind words. With out the help of Mud and the nuts on this board, it would have never happened....

I will consider a trade for a snappy STOCK 60, 80, or 100 series.
