Hello Mud,
This Land Cruiser belongs to the family of someone my wife works with.
They asked me to take a look at it and I thought it was neat enough to post up here.
Edit: Keith has just been diagnosed with leukemia and his wife asked if I could see about getting this sold.
Send me a PM or drop me an email at wagongear at gmail dot com
Price drop to $6,000 or make an offer, she is going to need it gone.
If this were a 60 or 80 series I could advise accurately on the price, but I'm not a 40 series expert.
I'll answer what questions I can.
Lots more pictures posted in this album here:

It could almost have been a survivor but it's had a handful of odd "mods" done to it, a really cool truck nonetheless.
It's unfortunately got what I can probably say is one of the worst exterior paint jobs I've seen.
Everything was just sprayed down.
There were also some boat rollers mounted to the roof, the rear one is still in place, and it has an odd auxiliary fuel tank rear bumper as well.
There are lots of dents and bruises but nothing major, it has the infamous rear quarter diamond plate covers, but as near as I can tell the metal actually seems to be solid under there, the lower lip is still in place and I can't feel any holes.
I could find no holes in the floor boards anywhere, and nothing other than surface rust where the paint has worn off from use.
Frame has surface rust but is solid, overall it's a solid truck, especially considering it's age, take a look at the album pics.
I didn't drive it, felt no need to, I heard it start and run, drove around the yard just fine, nothing alarmed me, but I see trucks of this vintage as something you can't be concerned about the mechanicals on, didn't even bother looking at the milage, i'm sure it should all be gone over, but it seemed like most everything was still there.
(come to think of it, I didn't even double check to make sure it was actually a '68)
It really has not been driven much for the last 10-20 years. It's been stored inside since 1983. You have to consider that I'm coming from the east coast; but it's the nicest non-restored 40s I've seen, even with the terrible paint.
Lots of other things to note, but since it's not mine I'll let the pictures do the talking.
